Walk-On to Scholarship

Dreaming of playing D1 basketball at Stanford University my entire life, I spent all of my time during COVID working out in my backyard, putting up 1000 shots a day, and contacting college coaches. I tried out and made the Women’s Basketball team my summer before freshman year, and earned a scholarship the spring after the season.

Communications Chair

CardinalBLCK is Stanford’s Black Student-Athlete organization. As a member of the executive board, my tasks are to create designs for marketing our events, along with compiling videos, maintaining the social media platforms, and providing any tech support needed for our orgainzation.

President

TreeTalk is Stanford’s Student-Athlete sports media group. We create content by athletes, for the general Stanford fans. We hope to share who Stanford athletes are outside of their sports. Created by myself and some other athlete friends, we currently have a team of around ten students. My role is to manage the team, along with interview student-athletes.
